getting links?

Hello,

I am under the impression that incoming links with the text for your chosen KW(s) is a very important (top priority) in SEO.

Now how does one normally go about this. I am under the impression that buying a PR8 link at www.noodles.com is not going to cut it if you are advertising a Baby Products site. The bots are smarter than that.

So do you type in "baby toys" and spam all the forums that show up, or blogs or tagboards? :-D

Curious on how this process is done.

You should do link exchanges with website of similar or higher page rank, and of similar content.. but content doesnt have to be similar. That way you can get free links, and both you and the website you exchange links with benefit.

you may also want to consider submitting your site to
dreamsubmit.net which allows you to add key words; basic account is free and submits your site to about 25-30 search engines.
