I'm not sure how to approach this dilemma.. I've just parked a couple of new domains (names that I came up with) with Namedrive and need to get traffic to them or indexed. Is this an impossible feat? Are there parking sites that do this? There has to be a way to do this.. (do I just need someone to link to me? or submit for an index? advertise on blogs?)
I choose namedrive because I really liked their templates, they're colorful and not as boring as most others. Please tell me what you think..(beautifulbridals.com, hottestfantasies.com, mobilemadnessmania.com to name a few)
My sites I feel have potential for business, so am I kidding myself here??
Will I have to turn these all into minisites with my own design and forget about parking for now, or is there a way to get traffic and indexed??
Liz

If you want your sites indexed there are a few easy ways, simply get a link on a site or submit them to the search engines yourself. Not sure if Namedrive offers indexing services. Unless these domains already have traffic you may be better off putting up a minisite.
beautifulbridals.com, hottestfantasies.com are somewhat catchy but not great keyword domains, no value unless they are developed into a site; mobilemadnessmania.com seems a bit long and has less potential.
even if these names were indexed, I still don't think you would drive traffic based on name alone. You would need to add content (mini-site) to generate any substantial traffic...which is what you are wanting.

Thanks for the info.. I'll have to work on keyword names next time. and also check out why park..
Parking a newly reg'd domain with no traffic isn't going to pay your bills, particularly with names like these that aren't intuitive, (as opposed to single words such as brides.com or divorce.com).
You need to develop the sites. Throw up a wordpress blog and get some links going.
Yeah.. looks like I have a lot of work ahead in the next couple of weeks.. But I can't stop buying domains!! This is dangerously addicting (but I love it).
This is your best bet. Develop the sites (relevant to the domain) and put some adsense on there. Update them regularly to keep them indexed with Google.
If you're not up to creating your own site, I'd suggest using a content management system like WordPress and look for some good templates (there are a lot of free ones out there).
Hosting is pretty cheap now, $3-$5 for a basic package now is more than you'll ever need with a handful of domains.

ok, cool.. sounds like a plan. thanks,.
Yes, creating links or "driving" traffic to parked domains is against Namedrive's and all other parking companies terms of service.

Thanks for the reminder, Fab. That one had slipped out of my head when I was reading the agreement at 2am. That's a little strict, huh? I was hoping to hitch a ride on a site that get's some traffic.
