Wondering on a couple of things...If I am forwarding traffic from multiple domains 40+ to this site does this have a negative impact?
I have enrolled in google, overture and value click for some ppc keyword traffic, does this effect my page rank?
Previously I traded links with about 15 other sites and listed this site on many of the directories suggested through this forum, but my pr has only dropped...This seems odd???
Last, does this really matter , correlation between page rank and actual google placement for various search words seems very vague??
Thanks for the help!

Yes, you could be linking to "bad neighborhoods" which could hurt your SE rankings...
Also, how are you forwarding your traffic?

it depend on how are you forwarding your traffic
What is a bad neighborhood?
I simply forward the url through GoDaddy's interface...is this not a good idea??

Why do you have to redirect your url to GoDaddy? Besides any url that is used to drive trafic by redirection wont get high PR and search engine results. Before googlebot crawl your content, they read the <head></head> tags. Thus, if it is found any 'content-refresh' redirection, they probably wont cwarl it.
No, it doesn't really matter. PR is only one part of many properties that the algo checks. It is very common to see low PR sites above much higher sites in the SERPs.Last, does this really matter , correlation between page rank and actual google placement for various search words seems very vague??
Granted, a PR0/PR1 is likely not going to outrank a PR7, but there is much more to that battle than just PR. Often, high PR sites have lots of pages with unique content that other sites have naturally linked to.
Firstly, verify all your links on the sites you swapped with to make sure they remain intact. You will find several scammers who will ask you to swap links with them, and then come to find out, they dropped your link a month later to help there own personal page rank.
I once swapped links with a person who had over 75 sites in my target audience. He later removed all my links and my pr dropped substantially because of it. I would advice using a script that periodically checks your links for you to make sure they remain intact.
I would have to recommend Hosting the domain yourself and setup a proper perm. redirect in .htaccess if you are going to be forwarding the domain.Originally Posted by D MARKS
I would also recommend verifying your inbound links. That is one of the most important factors. If anyone has removed your link or lost PR themselves, then yours may go down. Best thing you can do from here is to naturally increase your inbound links.

I dont redirect to GoDaddy, they are the primary register of my names and I use their url redirection service to point other names and my desired landing page, thus increasing relevant traffic...
Not sure if this impacted my drop in PR I will have to explore some of my link exchanges and see if they are still their...THANKS for all of the good ideas!

Well, if that's all your doing as far as redirection - it's PROBABLY not causing a PR drop. Assuming the domain mentioned is not forwarded in any way.
The first thing I always check for any type of PR fluctuation is my inbound/outbound links.
Note: If you have had the same links for a long time and no new ones, Google MAY see them as "old links" after a while and lower your link count. If maintaining PR is important to your website you should always be naturally increasing your inbound link count.
