Another quick alternate is buy already dmoz listed site, put a request in domains wanted forum and wait for response!

You have submitted your site and there is nothing much you can do, except improve your site. The only reason that dmoz would list you site is if your site adds value to the category.

No. Plus DMOZ runs a robot that notices this very fast.
frames works with all browsers. just search for HTML and frames on Google and you can learn how to set it up for your web sites.

Or it is owned by meta which in that case can get hundred of deep links.

I agree that DMOZ is a waste (I think directories actually hurt conversion rates in most cases) But I think you are confused about banning sites. What they are banning is DMOZ scraper sites - not listed sites...

DMOZ is run by a highly secretive group of volunteers who approve sites. You never know if your site is going to be added. H

DMOZ does not depend on one single volunteer editor but a lot of volunteer editors. While I believe that most of them are credible enough in their judgements, there may be a few who may not possess the same trustworthiness.
