The last hurdle

Hi folks, I have asked this question before and was hoping for a slightly better response. Anyway, ill try again lol.
I have had my site running since Nov 06 and managed to get it to position 17 on Google.
As far as i can see i have optimized the site as best i can. Tho to be fair links are limited.
I find link building very time consuming and painfull when you have geeks messing you around and not playing ball.
I guess my question is, can you guys see anything in my site that can be tweaked to get it to jump to taht first page, or is it a case of sitting around while i build up my links?
Cheers in advance. The site is praiadarochaonline.com obvioulsy with the 3w at the start
cheers again.

Re: The last hurdle

Hey diskwiz,

Don't know the exact keywords you are trying to rank for but I have a guess.
Took a look at your site and have a few things you might want to try:

1 - For the main keywords "Praia Da Rocha" try and focus your internal links using this anchor text on the home page. When linking to /forums/ on your site use anchor text representative of the page and not just "Praia Da Rocha" Use something like "Praia Da Rocha Forums" or "Discuss Praia Da Rocha"

2 - Change the order of your title tag words, except for the home page. So instead of Praia Da Rocha - [whatever page this is] use something like - [whatever page this is] - Praia Da Rocha. This will help your subpages rank for their keywords.

3 - More links. Its a lot of work, but links are where its at.
