Opinions wanted

Hi folks, just looking for a little advice. I have a group of sites all based on the Algarve in southern Portugal. My problem is this. One of the sites www.praiadarochaonline.com (keyword praia da rocha) is ranked #3 from a possible 2,000.000 on Google and pretty good on everything else bar Yahoo which ranks at around #70.
Now the main site which is www.algarve-guides.com was built in exactly the same way and has the same SEO techniques used but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. Now granted there are many more sites out there for the keyword Algarve (14,000.000) but I was still hopeful that it may have done something by now.
Would anybody be able to take a look at both sites and see if they can spot anything obvious!

try some SEO and webmaster forums, you'll find more experienced uses there
