    saw this on another forum, not sure where I should post this so I decided here.

    Seems like an excellent opportunity for the inbound PR.... (and not really the traffic itself). There are about 100-110 outbound links on that page right now....

    Plus, it's going to a pretty good cause for the net...

    Indeed, it helps to have a contextually relevant inbound link - since the W3C is about the web... if your site offers Web-related services, I think it would be a perfect inbound link.

    With $1000 at $10/mo, you could buy 100 months on a very decent relevant site, or 1 year on 8+ very decent relevant sites.

    Not to even mention how much you could do with $9000.

    On second look, it looks like a few SEO companies have donated already for the purpose of getting the link. It's probably worth it to hardcore SEO companies, becuase PR9's are not so common

    I suppose for the short sighted people whose evaluation of a website starts and ends with pagerank, which there seem to be an abundance of these days, it's a great investment.
