    What I don't understand is my personal Blog seems to be a PR of 5 (www.rawkinrich.org). How is that possible.

    Theres hardly any sites linking in to it. And my others sites homepages are 4, but some internal pages are 5.

    Don't understand!

    Not sure why, but all my pagerank changes happened TODAY.

    8,200 names
    2,591 changed rank

    517 INCREASED
    2,074 DECREASED

    Several went from PR0 -> PR4:

    Not too pleased with the results of the update, few new of my developed sites raised from PR0 to just PR2, even though I've been working very hard getting good backlinks. From what I've heard though backlinks arn't the big thing that counts this time.

    I worked hard at getting a banned domain back in at Google about a month ago. As an added reward, they have now given it a pr4 homepage...yippy!

    This pr has been added about 3 days ago. The only site that I own that has any updates/changes,, so it may just be another 'mini' update.

    I got a site from PR0 to PR5, less than 2 months, but dont' know why or how?
    I just links it to my own sites, and submit to some directory.

    I am new to this forum. Is that OK to post my PR5 url to share this with other member?

    BTW, all my other sites is only PR4 or less, so not sure how this will get up to PR5.

    I just realized that something is going on with "backlinks", I was thinking you meant "inbound links".

    What exactly are "backlinks" (as opposed to 'inbound links'), and what about them has changed for PageRank?
