Re: Paying for SEO - Worth it?

I have recently experimented with goclick.com, my traffic was up however the conversion was not there to and I did not break even on my cost...this was my first venture into ppc and I would probably try again with another company. Just my recent experience others may feel different.

I would say no, it isn't worth it. Then again it depends how valuable your time is. SEO isn't difficult assuming A) You can read. B) You have a decent handle on HTML. C) You have the time to perform necessary changes.

It also depends on your skill at accumulating links from other relevant websites.

Keyword targetted webpage optimization + Lots of one way keyword rich backlinks from relevant websites = Success
If it sounds too good to be true, post it on DNForum and you'll find some suckers!

I tend to agree. I had a site of mine SEO'd...traffic did not pick up. Basically...everything that he usually suggested I had already done to the site...alt text...spacing...etc. Have a clean site with necessary information...dont waste your money. Most of it is a big scam.

Re: Paying for SEO - Worth it?

In my opinion, SEO is very expensive because if your dealing with a knowledgable professional you are paying for their time and insight more than anything..

Real seo professionals have spent thousands of hours and sleepless nights analizing code and making hypothesis inorder to have the abilty to make recommendation on changs to your code....

Add in the cost of creating powerful inbound links to your site that work, and you've got a pretty heafty bill...

SEO does work, and convert though....

Interesting, thank you for the feedback. I have read many articles that give tips on how to improve search engine placement. It seems that inbound links are a large part of it among other things. I was wondering if a SEO professional could wave a magic wand and get results that would be extremely difficult to acheive yourself.

Unfortunetly, there is no majic want.... The "majic" goes back to those endless nights of examine changes over long periods time...

iewing what works and what doesn't best helps you not only see what to do, but acuratly guess at what's to come in the future...
Basically, whqat it comes down too, is knowledge and money to put that knowledge to work...

If you try and do one without the other, it will never work....
