will letting a name expire then renewing increase traffic

my registrar doesnt charge any extra for first few days I renew a domain after expiration, so if i let a name expire and get listed on all those expired domain sites will the links etc help increase traffic, I am going to try it with a few names that earn 10-20 dollars a yr in ppc and see what happens, I wont risk my premium names like this, thanks in advance

i think there is more chance you will lose the domain than revenue being increased.

I would never let a domain expire I wish to keep, You will loose it if it has any traffic at all to one of those search sites.

Lots of unrelated domains, with unrelated content or 404's, lots of outgoing links on a page with virtually no textual content. If I heard that description I'd guess link farm, I doubt a search engine will think much different.
