Not out of the ordinary- very, very, very low CTR is common for forums.
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.
Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Suppose you are the owner of a vBulletin powered forum site. You have enabled the revenue sharing feature for members that have their own AdSense account. So, members are invited to register with their profile their AdSense ID (pub-*********************) and the channel if they like to. The deal is 50/50. That means for 50% of the impressions the AdSense ID of the forum owner is displayed. For the next 50% the AdSense IDs of the participating members posting in a given thread are rotated. Simple idea that motivates members to be more active participants.
My question: Is it possible to implement a script that in case there is a click on AdSense ads, intercepts and substitutes the actual pub-ID that is displayed with forum owner's pub-ID to be reported to Google? You get the idea?
Reason: I am interested to have your considerations because I am a member of such a forum (dnforum competitor). My AdSense report show thousands of impressions of that dedicated channel and not a single click! It is out of the ordinary in my view. What is your take?

No because on the webpage when it loads it loads the page with the current pub#. If a user clicks on the link it is on that pub# and not another.
At first I thought you were trying to scam your users. Then I read it again and understood your post.
I agree, forums usually have a very low CTR. Think yourself, how many times have you clicked on ads here at dnforum or at any other forum.Originally Posted by Jonathan

If CTR is so low, it looks like on domains and Hosting related forums you'd better advertise everything except domain registrations and hosting...
