GoogleAds and Parking Revenue Down

Both my GoogleAds and TrafficValet revenue is way down.

Then I read this from the TrafficValet site:

July 12, 2005 - Google has made changes this past Friday, July 8th, to the Domain Park program which is affecting monetization for all program partners. You may have noticed a dip in revenues across the weekend here at Traffic Valet, and at many other Google-affiliated parking companies. We are working closely with Google to discuss the changes and will report back once we have some more clarity on the matter. We expect revenues to pick up going into this week.

Anyone know anything?

google was having problems past few days... it was stricly on their side, not traffic valet or your sites fault... things have been re-adjusted and should be back to normal.

Why do u say that Mike? From the sounds of things Google wasn't having problems which affected revenue.... it seems Google adjusted how they pay revenue & hence the revenue that we're seeing is correct but in now a lower form from the adjustments.

My sedo revenue is down 30% compared to the previous weeks.

Sedo, Adsense, Traffic Valet - I am seeing a simular 20%-30% decrease in consistent revenue. Hopefully things will re-adjust soon, but I haven't seen any signs of this happening.

Don't forget to factor in the summer months. Also, if you don't have pure natural type-in domains, your traffic is never going to be near static.

Programs like this, especially Google, can fluctuate by even the slightest difference in day, time, current events, state of the nation, there's so many factors it's almost impossible to pinpoint a cause (in most cases.) The fact is, programs that are % based, depending on traffic are always going to fluctuate... especially if most of your traffic in the first place is from those same search engines that have the same fluctuations (which usually cause the revenue difference.)

In my experience, it's important not to over analyze on one particular day with these types of revenue streams, rather take in the whole week (month would be better) results then calculate your daily average. Although, I know how frustrating it can be seeing your revenue way down on one particular day and desire to 'tune' or analyze to figure out what's causing it.

Exactly, and it's especially hard for people that are used to a very consistent non-fluctuating weekly paycheck to deal with the up and down rollercoaster days of this business.

My site went from making $5 a day to make $0.03 a day :S

Probably Google is adjusting the payout as they now run CPM advertising basis.

I noticed a big decrease in all of the domain parking program but my google adsense has never been better I saw an increase of nearly 30% and has been always constant for the last 2 yrs.
Also the traffic is way down on my sites but cpm almost double it.
