Help me explaining some AdWords Basics I am a bit lost

So here is the deal I started an Adwords campaign I have set my budget to U$ 200 a day and max PPC to U$1

Here is what I have currently:

Clicks - Impr. - CTR - Avg. CPC - Cost - Avg. Pos - Conv. Rate - Cost/Conv
317 - 144,564 - 0.2% - $0.60 - $190.40 - 3.0 - 0.95% - $63.47

How is my campaign going?

Is this good or bad I really need some advice here!

Am I wasting money please help

Re: Help me explaining some AdWords Basics I am a bit lost

It depends on what you are advertising and what industry you are in? $200 per day budget is quite above the average I should say. It is too early to jump into conclusions after the first 300 clicks you've got. Average 3.0 position is very good but is very expensive too. Also, take note that during the first week or even month, 90% of the clicks will come from your competitors... and after that period this % will eventually drop to around 50%.

Going in to adsense blind can be very expensive.. I would suggest that you read up on it a bit more and perhaps get involved in an adsense community.. I have seen companies spend Thousands of $$ with no ROI, due to bad keywords and just plain bad management.

Re: Help me explaining some AdWords Basics I am a bit lost

All my conversion are on a 30 budget so that means I am loosing big money right?

How can I optimize that?

I dont understand much about adwords and that sort of stuff someone could give me more advice.

I am looking for better keywords..

My campaign is set to display worldwide and all languages. I ship worldwide but my site is in English.

Should I change my language to english?

Please help me.

Thanks

Re: Help me explaining some AdWords Basics I am a bit lost

If your site is in english then change the worldwide to ONLY english speaking countries , USA , Canada , UK . You are loosing money at $63 per conversion, you need to find several LESS SEARCHED ON keyword phrases and only use those phrases with a much lower bid , maybe .15 or .20 bids. The key is converting at a profit and NOT how much traffic you get from adwords. There is about a 20% clickfraud rate there so your competetors will drain some of your budget , but they look more for the campaigns such as you are currently running with the more prominent keywords and larger bids, you will get much less of this happening with small bids and not so prominent keywords , so find 30 to 40 phrases that fit your product and lower the bids.

For example if you are selling Shoes , you will lose money bidding on the keyword "shoes".

You need to use phrases like:
womens casual footwear
mens casual footwear
kids dress shoes
oudoor hiking boots
etc.....

and bid low.

Re: Help me explaining some AdWords Basics I am a bit lost

ok thanks I will try that

What got most of my money was the CONTENT RESULTS which spent 90 dolars = 140 clicks but no conversions at all

that was what messed the results but I have already removed the ad servings for Content and left only search results

But I got orders today from Germany for instance!!

What I did is set the campaign to WORLDWIDE and left Language = English

Is that right?

Thanks a lot guys I now have like 60 keywords that are not very popular and my bid is low so that means I should be getting high rankings on that keywods.

Thanks
