stats for purchase

Hi,

does anyone out there know where I can find out the rough visitor purchase rate (how many per100, for example) for the various standard type consumable options there are?

I know that depends on the quality of the site and traffic but there must be an average.

you mean conversion ratios?

in old days 1/300 was good for some types of sites 300 visitors 1 join

that's for membership sites

then it went to 1/1000

then 1/3000

some of our free sites we had 1/3 to 1/6 conversion rations

ebay used to do 50% sales for auctions, avg auction got 50 hits or so

now they don't even do 5% and most auctions don't get 10 views

so visitors to sales stats ares all over the place, too many variables if I understood you right
