We've known that for years.

It's still a joke, there is still no enforcement.

Re: 2M Domains With 'False' Data

I dont know how many unreal generics that dont seem to go anywhere have all bad whois info....sometimes people die or companies go out of business, etc. believe it or not alot of big domains just go overlooked and are still reg'd for years out as many with netsol were talked into the 10 year discount when they signed up...what do expect from people spending so much for domains and related services? lol This is why alot of great names drop eventually..

Chris

The GAO report was based on a sample of 900 internet domains, and 45 of these with "false" data were reported to ICANN for further investigation. The report said 11 of the domain holders submitted updated information, and one domain was terminated.
That is the scarriest line of the whole article.

Well, yes it it a fiasco, but you have to take a hefty chunk of the responsibility.
