or the people in the domain industry would work together. Some people have sites/businesses in certain niches so the traffic can be sold directly to them although it takes longer to collect multiple payments
I just have one obvious question.. When is there going to be a DNF Conference?

Forget apps they are too expensive and are very limited to OS, web app is the way, its a nightmare viewing dnforum on my mobile, and i would not know what to use? m. / mobile. / wap. / wireless. / phone.
Perhaps an auto device detection script, very easy to install, perhaps dnforum could use dnforum.mobi, at least i would know there was a mobile version of dnforum.
Forward thinking.
Take a Peek!

Toronto would be the obvious first choice. I think Adam would be good at the conference circuit and I am sure MANY will sponsor. Conferences are not hard, its mostly about getting the right people talking to the right audience and as the domain industry is niche, its a no brainer. A few good keynotes, a few parties and a great way to extend this community. Once you get a good format you can start rolling it out across US and Europe. I am just surprised that Adam has not taken the initiative before.

Hey, if we can throw something together here in Toronto, I'm all for it. I'd be willing to travel too.
To be friendly to our members across the globe, I think that if we were to have it in a more central place which is cheap to fly to (Las Vegas would be my first choice), that could be an option to attract more members.

Hi Adam,
I cannot seem to find your 'original' rant thread about domain blogs...did you move it?, delete it? or edit it?
Thanks,
Dan
Old thread, but isn't it possible that listing a domain on multiple marketplaces could get you into a bind? Lets say you list your domain on 5 different marketplaces, then by some awful stroke of luck the name sold on two of the marketplaces at the same time. Seems like this could get you into some sort of legal trouble.
It is tricky but can be done. For example, I have had Shrewd.com on eBay, dnforum and namepros at one time, but it's with a high BIN and make offer. It's very unlikely that someone would pay the BIN without making an offer on a $19K domain name. Also, one can list that it's multiforum post one inexpensive items, so that buyers know there's a slight chance it's already sold.
I am not a lawyer, but advertising is not a legal offer. In the old days of classifed ads in newspapers, you did not obviously have to sell a car you already sold. Likewise, if you are a store and run out of stock, you don't have to sell or even offer a raincheck what you advertised and are out of stock on. You will only get in trouble if you advertise a $10,000 new car and did not have a single new car to sell at that price.
IMHO, the rare time two or more people "buy" (legally make an offer to buy) at the same time is when someone (broke) needs cash fast (but watch out for scams) and is selling at a low wholesale price.
I don't know of any time a retail-priced domain name or high-wholesale priced name had multiple "buys."
