apple computer is entering the online music industry as everyone has heard but its interesting the took iTunes.us during sunrise period

glad i got Tune.us

They also got iTunes.info/.biz during the "sunrise" periods. Seems like they don't have the .com version...it'd be interesting to see if they buy it or use one of the newer tlds!

it will be intersting to see what they go under so far they calling it itunesmusicstore thats way too much of a mouthful,,,,

Its unlikey they'd use this term....iTunesMusicStore.com was just regged on 4/16/03 by someone in Texas and the name is available in all other tlds!

well looks more like itunes but which extension????unless they go after the com extension doesn;t look like its being used .

Since this particular venture would be global in nature (rather than regional or country specific) it seems more likely that they'd tend to use a global tld such as .com, .net or .biz......using .info would not make much sense in this situation and .us is a cc tld although they may use it to target american customers (biggest market) or re-direct to their main site.

Tune.us is good.

Someone here commented itunes is best in a global tld. After reading that, perhaps a member here grabbed itunes.org newly reg'd 4-28.

Does anyone think itune is perhaps good also? Itune is unreg'd in several major extensions but the com is taken. It's a bit surprising Apple did not also reg the singular version of the name in the same extensions. Probably never thought of doing that.

Apple has TMs (both US & European) on "iTunes" and I'd imagine they can go after any of its variations such as "iTune"; the intersting part is that iTunes.com was apparently regged long before they got the TM on it!
