Auction at Sedo... What's heppaneing here?

Hi, everyone--

This seems like the best place for this--it is a kind of news item, and maybe someone's comments can enlighten me on what's going on.

This is a cut-and-paste from a current auction at Sedo--My questions: Why are there two bids in a row from the same bidder, and why the huge jump in bids from Bidder 7 from 1,050 to 5,200? (I have left the domain name itself out)...

Looks like bidder 7 had his bid automatically placed by Sedo but the system didn't place the "Bid automatically placed by Sedo" in the line (note the 10:36 am bid times for bidder 7 and 8). i.e. Bidder 8 placed his higher bid at 10:36. At least that's my take on it Why question it - you're gonna make some good cash man!

eabigelow sorry but it took me 30 seconds to find what domain you are referring to.

Sedo's auction looks ok. Sedo didn't leave anything out.

Even if you look at bidder one, two bids in a row.

Anyone can do this. If I place a bid for 1000 and shortly after I figure "what the heck, I want to go for it" and place a bid for 1500 a few moments later, both bids are separate bids, I still have to record them, and they will end up in the end for total bids counted.

Hi, everyone--

Thanks for the replies. By the way, I was just curious about this auction and how Sedo works--it's not my domain (although I wish it was!).

Again, thanks!
