It's one of those drop registrars with a poor interface so the practice is still going on

Just a heads up the .Com Registry will be down Oct. 28, most likely to switch
to EPP finally. Supposedly Oct. 28 EDT at 9-9:45 EST.

The big guys are already using it while the smaller guys? Uh.....
