Country: | AUTO.COM sold for $10,000??? I heard on NP today that AUTO.COM sold for $10,000 dollars. I just can't believe that someone would sell for that cheap in fact its almost a guarantee that this sale will not go through in my opinion.
Has anyone else heard any more on this? I believe the sale was through Afternic.

Hi guys, 99.9 % it`s not legit but I bought it as soon as I saw the thread.
I just emailed the current Registrant to check if it was a joke like I already supposed.
I had to copy and paste the text of the listing because initially I though it was an idn. |

The seller on afternic is bmwsil >>look up on google >> some russian dude with only 1 other name on afternic.
Conclusion: afternic should be more careful when monitoring names listed for sale - this one somehow slipped through and got all the hype. |

you're a bit long in the tooth to fall for this?
surely you would pay and get domain in your control before posting such a thread at np?

Country: | a while ago the domain name "co.uk' was for sale @ Sedo.
There should be a verification system, otherwise someone should sell Microsoft.com - just imagine the parking revenue on this one |

Would you have left that listing alone without buying despite it could very likely be a joke? |

Country: | yea sometimes things are too good to be true. good that you grabbed the opportunity even you had doubts over it. believe it or not, few months ago one close friend of mine bought a domain for about 12k$ and two months later the name was sold for 150K$
