| | There is just no concrete way to put a value on domains. A lot of you guys refer to "reseller prices". That's just bs to me. At the end of the day the goal is to sell domains for as much as possible, regardless of some foolish analytics, formulas, fmv guesses, ppc multipliers and other metrics. We just bought a name for $200K that most guys would say wouldn't be worth $10k, but we bought it because we saw the value it added to our business. So really, ANY name in "reseller" world is worth SQUAT by "reseller" mentality. It looks like a reseller takes a name for $100. Sells it to another reseller for $110. He turns and sells it for $125, and so forth ALL THE WHILE KNOWING THAT SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE WILL PAY THE BIG BUCKS FOR IT. I say find that big buyer and quit pissing with these nickel and dime trades. |

Country: | EstiBot.com gives this domain the following appraisal: $5,900 USD EstiBot is the end all. Enough said. Who are we talking about again?

DNF$: 4,392 Location: liverpool engla | What we mean as reseller is we might only pay a small amount not 80k, for example if we see a name in a drop auction like brax.com we will not pay 80k but we might pay x,xxx . Every domainer is diffrent . Some one might pay xx,xxx but its unlikely .

Country: | Let's put it another way, a domain is only worth what someone else will pay for it. In the simplest terms, this gentleman found a buyer for $80k, therefore whilst it was only worth 1.5k to one, another found value in it at $80k. He did a good job of making the end user realize it's full potential, regardless of the wipo factor. Gongrats to the seller!

do you think it is cheaper to rename the company and to buy a "pronounceable LLLL.com" under 5k ? | ||

DNF$: 503 Location: Canada | I actually think that 80K is far too low for the domain, especially after a WIPO, and asking for $1M initially from the buyer. I have to think there must have been a side deal to cover other expenses. Someone tries to WIPO a domain from me, the price automatically triples.

DNF$: 4,392 Location: liverpool engla | Yes read it and you will see most people said good sale . If you think 80k is a bad sale then thats your opinion. And yes i stick to my words what i would of paid for it , all domainers are diffrent their would be no way i would of paid xx,xxx for it . The seller got lucky because it sold to brax.de for a good price. And if your saying you would of paid over xx,xxx for it and as you know its a tm then thats your opinion. I'm not going to waste any more time on this thread arguing over a good sale lol i have work to do .But i will say congrats to the seller nice sale. And dominator if you think i have lernt somthing new from this thread by you saying (finally you discovered it!) then your wrong lol. post what ever you want lol and argue with your self lol good luck you might win ha ha this is my last post im not waste any more time .

| David | The trademark claim was not won: http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/d...2008-1057.html Funny thing is a name like that would be lucky to sell for $800 here vs $80k. |
