What is the use of a landrush or a sunrise period when many of these domains are already in private hands?

I would love to see a list of all the ones held back or already in private hands.

This is reminding me so much of the dot Travel fiasco when it first came out. Thousands of names were supposedly awarded to a company that had claim to them. Turns out that company was a shell operation run by .Travel's CEO's daughter and son-in-law.

Travel is in different and in better hands now.

The humbug about landrush etc. only means that the rif-raf of these names (which have been tested for several years now for steady traffic) will be available to the suckers that'd be willing to pay astronomical prices per domain.
