I was surprised when I found out who the buyer of this domain was. I guess most huge candy companies are branded well enough to not really need Candy.com at that price.

DataCube.com - Buy and Sell Premium Domains
this name is more suitable for a store that can sell all (quality) brands
than for a manufacturer of a single brand (or few brands)
Basically the names which are easy to sell and go for big monies are the common dictionary word one worders (most all in .com) so I admit to getting weary (even call it envious if you will) of reading about the occasional huge sales which active forum members are rarely if ever involved in for obvious reasons.
Nice job by Rick to get a percentage of the profits.

are you serious? Similar domains are dropping right now. A low x,xxx figure would be too much for this.
hum... gamble? Don't you guys know what really happened? Are you totally ignorant of the repeted bad practices we observe in auctions?it was a gamble, one that will not pay off... but that's what this domaining stuff is all about
I find unbelievable that one can be so elogious towards R. Schwartz. I don't know him personnally, but I don't see much quality in his blog and don't grant the slightest credit to his statements.
To my opinion, some people should open more their eyes and use their brain. From candy.com's sale, we only know what Rick Schwartz wants to say and that's at most part of the truth.
