my guess is they may have gone to moniker in a bid to get the name . monte is well known and respected and moniker and sedo are prob most well known brokers.
its possible mtld could have directed them back to moniker who knows.
although pinky is more than qualified to deal with that side himself you would have thought
.mobi 's are all showing high ask's at sedo it may be a good tld, due to all the mobile devices now, but I don't have any, .com/.net/.us/.info/.org my personal preferences, with .biz if I'm desperate anyone see a .mobi on page one in a major serp yet?
(Btw, please note (for the .mobi sceptics) - I know of one .mobi site - NOW - that makes over $100,000 pa ($9200 per month), on average).
Casino.mobi is a great sale - for today's times, imo....
Actually, in the bigger picture, I see this as a low-marker benchmark sale...
It'll be a benchmark sale for this down time.....This transaction could be presented, in future times, as an undeveloped (when sold), bargain-price, top mobile-web premium domain, sold to an end user in the middle of this economic wreckage, at the absolute bottom of the market.
People will look back one day, and say: 'Remember the dark days of the economic crisis, when Casino.mobi went for only $135,000...?...Wish I'd been there - or had the funds - then....'
Someone, somewhere, is going to sell a $500,000 .mobi domain, one day....Then $1million.....Not yet....Not for some years....But, someone...
...And it'll happen when the mobile web is totally ubiquitous - and, when someone can demonstrate a monetization model that shows a single .mobi domain/site that makes $80,000 - $100,000 - every year - on the mobile web. Solid. Someone's going to do that in the next 5 years...
...It may be Casino.mobi....Or, Sex.mobi....Or, Ringtones.mobi....Something.
Then.....the .mobi market will completely re-rate - especially for the .mobi best names - and the .mobi domains with the best monetization models.

man, that's hell a lot of money, it seems that you can make money with any extension for the "casino" keyword.
Just like with flowers.mobi, the only possible way to recover the purchase price for casino.mobi, is to find a bigger sucker to sell it to.
i don't see how the extention would make a site fail but anyways, porn is going mobile in a big way these days. Its only bound to get bigger.
but you can deliver porn to mobile phone with any extension, it does not require a .mobi for that.
