I attack the shallow, hollow claims and stupid, asinine comments that people post before the engage their brain. Its like driving a car...no matter how much you step on the gas it goes nowhere when it is still in park.

You claimed to be able to send porn to a phone without using .mobi. That is true. But, unless it is made to dot mobi compliant standards, it will not work on all devices. Plus, doing so also ensures it will work on ALL devices - phone, laptop, PC, netbook.

The point is that the site WAS done utilizing .mobi. Why? Because it was. Because .mobi is being marketed as mobile and that is how it is.

So take a name, any name, any extension and make your porn site mobile and market it to the mobile crowd.

Three things to comment on your three points...

People with mobile phones will look for porn not only on .mobi sites but ALL extensions. That does not mean they will all work.

The concept of a "simple script"? If you want to revise and update that script each and every time to include which models to detect, then that is fine. If I make a site that is started as a mobile compliant site, it will remain a mobile compliant site and will work flawlessly on ALL devices.

Maybe building one site for all devices is new to you.

I am sure the .mobi domains will soon overtake the .com, must be becuase ther are more mobile phones than pc's.

(Btw, please note (for the .mobi sceptics) - I know of one .mobi site - NOW - that makes over $100,000 pa ($9200 per month), on average).

Why not, with development any extension can make money (except .tel of course ).
But I doubt many other developed .mobi sites are making that much.
I prefer to invest in a better TLD rather than promote a mediocre one.

Just like with flowers.mobi, the only possible way to recover the purchase price for casino.mobi, is to find a bigger sucker to sell it to.
