The Chinese government's tax revenues jumped 22% in 2006, boosted by the country's continuing rapid economic growth, official figures have shown.
Tax revenues totalled 3.8bn yuan ($480bn; £243bn) last year, said the State Administration of Taxation.

The 22% increase comes after the 20% gain seen in 2005.
