I came across this article titled Community.com about social networking sites...

CNet owns the domain Community.com. Given all the hype around social networking these days I wonder if CNet has plans to develop one of their own using this domain. Can't get much better than Community.com as a name.

I think the above-referenced article would fit in my "Hall of Shame" category under "Things named after domain names that they don't actually own."

True, but my interest is to see what members feel this prime CNet name would be worth - the article is an obvious misuse of the name.

I don't think that hall of shame is all the enlightening. There are a ton of reasons why poeple use .com over other extensions.

Anyhoo, I'd put community.com in low-mid $xxx xxx
