Rumors are circulating that the sale for the domain name Cowboys.com will not be moving forward. The domain name brought in a $275,000 bid from a phone-in bidder at the recent TRAFFIC domain live auction in Hollywood, Florida. The bidder had earlier been confirmed to be a representative from the Dallas Cowboys NFL team. An inside source confirmed with DomainNameNews that the deal began to fall apart over a misunderstanding with the bidder on what the bid of “275″ actually meant. It appears the bidder thought they were buying the domain for $275.00 rather than $275,000.
Trying to come up with something witty...
Quite comical to think anybody would get such a nice name for $xxx amount.

I am telling you, them Texans are a bit thick in the skull![]()
That's got to be bullshit
heck...if I'd known, I would've bid $300![]()

Everyone surely knows bidder did NOT mean 275.00
They were just surprised there was no other bidder and
thinking they could of gotten it much cheaper.
So, they are playing with bull crap and see if they can get it cheaper![]()
Im sure he meant 275k at first...just probably realized he could have got the domain much cheaper and is backing out. Pu$$ies.
lol thats hilarious i wonder if they really thought so or just saying so ?
lol..this is pretty funny stuff. I can't believe they would actually think it was $275. Must not be domainers or have any common sense..haha![]()
Acro is referring to a well-known country song here in the US. George Strait, no?
This is kind of interesting. I think it may be the Dallas Cowboys after all. They may be maneuvering. Let's see what happens. Don't count this sale out. If I were the seller, I'd hold it and negotiate directly with Dallas CBs if this sale is not finalized.
From what I read, there was only 1 bid.Why negotiate?
If this was a sale (auction) and the top bidder is backing out, then the second highest bidder can claim it.
So the bidding war may continue.
Very funny indeed. Why would such a big company be so naive about the domain business. Hopefully they will settle for their DallasCowboys.com and this domain will be put to better use.
Really, the CowBoys spend a million dollars more on just t-shirt designs. In the long run, $275,000 would be much more beneficial an investment.
I wonder what Colts.com or Giants.com would be worth?
