His ad agency Enfatico LLC doesn't have a clue but Michael Dell seems to get how valuable domains are. Kudos to him for buying adamo.com.

Perfect example of a competent CEO; good move by Dell

He needs to pass this down to his managers. The two that I interviewed with treated me like I was scum of the earth for being a domainer a few years back.
"Yummy Domains General Manager Bill Sweetman said he initially approached Dell in February, about three weeks before the launch. Yummy Domains had noticed a spike in traffic after Dell gave a preview of the Adamo at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, he said.
He offered to lease the name to Dell for $750 per month or sell it for an undisclosed amount."
Isn't that cybersquatting? I thought if you approach a trademark holder and offer to sell them their trademark it's called "cybersquatting." What am I missing here?
When the names is owned prior to a product going mainstream and or not known publicly yet it is not cybersquatting.
Domain has history dating back to 1996; no bad faith here. Also seems that the seller is more reasonable than some on the forum![]()

i can understand why $750/month forever was not agreeable. this article has kind of a lame spin on it imho.
