I saw Kucinich on CNN's Crossfire last night and he mentioned his website, Kucinich.US. I think this is the first time a candidate is using a .US.

Also interesting that Crossfire commentator James Carville uses a .info for his site (not a redirect), Carville.info. He recently switched from a longer .com.

I think the use of .US by candidates is a very smart move - they all want to appear to be patriotic and the .US is a perfect match for that. The adoption of .US by major political figures will speed up recognition of the extension across America....and recognition is what it is all about. Once that hurdle has been cleared the race is over. I really see virtually no way .US can miss - the only question is how long it will take to become mainstream.

The TM holders will get their names in the .us ccTLD, the real question is, can you reg generic names that will also be in demand. The next "hotels.com", etc.

Check TM on any regs, even generic names can have a load of active TM, as I found out.

Your welcomed.. more of these larger compnies are coming onboard everyday..

These are Companies doing billions of dollars of transactions every year.. maybe my yapping wont change opinions but these types of compnies and the influence they have should make most take notice....US is for real..

this summer is when the masses are going to be introduced to .US..expect summer to early fall for the next registration explosion..not just the steady growth..4-7 month range
