Sounds a bit like the old Domain Registry of America (DROA) scam..
Oh, and now he is consulting in the domain business? consulting whom?
from the SMH article:
"Domain names rate alongside roo shooting in terms of market size," he says. "I would like to be in a market that there is more room to move in."
What is that about?
Anyway, here more details

That's exactly what it sounds like if the reporting is true and if it is, he proves himself an idiot/scammer by trying to use it as a business model to begin with and even more of an idiot by trying to downplay it by saying other companies out there are worse offenders...I guess that made it alright?Originally Posted by Beachie
By the way DROA is still active, many of us in America have proof in our trashcans, those lowlife scumbags![]()
Used to hate receiving all those renewal notices in the post trying to get you to transfer names to certain registars for like $70 per year.
Cant even imagine how many crazy mom and pop investors fell for it.
My mailbox used to be totally full of the notices.
I get the occasional one as well although they use a different company name.. what's noticably weird though is they're called Domain Registry of Australia but have their mailing address in the UK and a bank account in the US..Originally Posted by E-Promote
Well, I don't get their business model and it is a nuissance empty the trash, but I have to laugh each time I get one!
