Re: E-Commerce Times Says: Domain Name Business Booming in Post .Com Era

"Though we'll likely never see the sale prices of 1999, when domains like business.com fetched $7.5 million, valuations for key domains have definitely begun to elevate to demonstrate their importance to business and organizations all over the world."

It's sunny skies again :-D What about Gambling.com which recently sold for $20m largely on the strength of a name? Even after basic development and goodwill, the name itself must have fetched $10m easy.

" ECompanies made history by paying $7.5 million for the Business.com domain name -- although Winebaum said it was an all-stock, funny-money deal.

Not at all, act. I read your post on the other side. You said gamble.com or something

This spring blossom thing is really killing my thunder, I was just forced to pay about $8k for some silly two word name in an auction which in worse days may have fetched only $2k This artificial euphoria needs to stop NOW. Time for hailstones and doom and gloom!
