I wouldn't read too much into the ext, though I do like .org. This one was more about the PR and the hot term in LLL IMO.

agree that it's a hot term 'eco' and the extension fits well.

'eco' is a great prefix these days for some words, like ecotravel, ecotour, ecovoyage...

This was a non profit site - "The environmental careers organization" I knew a girl who worked there for years...I was surprised to see the names sold....I guess the business went under. The site must have 10,000+ backlinks...

hate to sound like a brokjen record but that was first thought too when I saw the thread title was that the extension fits perfectly. I agree also just in general terms it does seem like .org is getting more respect these days price wise.
