    Re: Enom Purchases BulkRegister

    Very interesting.

I'm 95% sure that Enom purchased BulkRegister for the inventory of domains that
have not been renewed. Plus, the active domains that might slip into expiration.

Apparently, they are planning to become more aggressive in auctioning off expired
domains (they control). Or, they plan on CLS happening.

its FANTASIC news.. Bulk Register has some great features, that I hope Enom Adopt into their system.

Bad News this month is that United Internet Bought FastHosts.co.uk

A once great Hosting company falling foul to the same people who own 1and1 and the likes of sedo.

    Re: Enom Purchases BulkRegister

I just received the email earlier today. I've been using BulkRegister for around 6 years. I have about 1100 domains with them.

I've never been a fan of eNom. For now I'm not doing anything, but if BulkRegister's policies / interface becomes too much like eNom's, I'm going to start looking at other options.

Perhaps eNom is ok / improved these days ... and thus am keeping an open mind for now, but again, I'm very leery of this change to a service that has worked well for my needs for so many years.

    Re: Enom Purchases BulkRegister

According to the current numbers, that's still about 5.7 million domains that eNom needs to become the #1 registrar in the world.

However, still not a bad move on eNom's part. BulkRegister provides some amazing tools.

I have been Bulkregister's domain management consultant for almost two years, and helped build out their current domain management system and provided a "domainer wish list" of features for them. They have followed many of my ideas and those of their large portfolio holders, and built out what I consider to be the best domain management system for bulk domains available. I may be biased (I am), but BR's management of large portfolios puts every other registrar's to shame, including Enom's.

I can't comment on the actual sale to Enom, but I can suggest to BR customer's -- if you like what you see on BR, make it known to them. You've probably received the feedback email and login notice - take advantage of it and try to be as detailed as possible in describing to them ALL the features that make you a BR fan.

Let's hope this is a good thing...

Moreso, maybe they should stop redirecting expired domains to their parking program.. then when you renew them they still point to their DNS unless you manually update them!

Makes it hard if you let a few slip into expiry which happens sometimes, have to go in manually and change it away from their system.

I have a few domains at Enom for various reasons, and after using domainsite.com, I don't think the Enom system is even good let alone excellent. However, GoDaddy have proved that good service is not synonomous with commercial success!

I personly like enom and namecheap's systems, but they could be improved... I mean if a few more things were added, it might make it better, but I have to say, even though I don't like the moniker system as far as navigation, I still say for a great name, it should be at Moniker.
