If I lived in Europe I'd get ready now to gun for a few of those.
Maybe a simple web site with links to books, apts, domains for sale, music, etc., would be enough to qualify you.
The EU wants to compete head to head against the U.S., w/the euro, their 'own' military, etc. They will probably go for .eu in droves.
I found a site a while back that let you pre-register for free .eu's. This was over a year ago now, and many of the good ones had gone. I have not heard from them since and am not even sure how official it was. But time will tell.
Didn't i read somewhere that you need permission to reg an .eu ?
