What's the matter sport, can't take a joke?
Ok, so you sold your first 5-figure IDN to a casino in Vegas and only took home $10k?
That's how much they make in an afternoon from rich Indian expats.

IDNs are good. Owners just need another 50 years. Then they will finally make their millions.

I CAN take a joke, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I just pointed out I expected you to downgrade IDN domains, and their investment potential,
    as usual.
$10,000 sale...no big deal. I've turned down much higher offers, on other IDN domains.
Neglecting their investment potential...only time tell if it was a wise decision, on your part.

Downgrade what potential, if this is the first 5-figure IDN sale for a country of 1.1 billion people then obviously it's nothing to write home about.

Currently IDNs traffic is mostly(99%) from uneducated people and kids. Can you get money from parking? I think yes, but not much. Can you convert this type of traffic? Not really. The only use for russian IDNs for example so far is redirecting it to another page and put some SMS(text) scam on that page. Or just some PPC.

    That's it.

I remember some guy who bought moscow.com(russian) and some other names. He was asking me. Does your opinion changed on IDNs? Like every 6 months same question. Been 5 years now. Nothing changed. I see people buying super premium keywords for x,xxx. Do they get a bargain? Not really. Otherwise lots of people would buy them before. Why they buy then? They think that MAYBE it will grow in price. x,xxx for a maybe? Fair enough. Spending xxx,xxx for MAYBE? Well if you have multi millions then why not. But even then, would you want to throw away even 50k?

IDNs will be a new international king. I know russian market for example. As a market, not as investors dream. People are not using IDNs. They don't even know about it. They chat in russian language. And basically TYPO domains sometimes. Or enter it by mistake, when they were thinking it was a search engine request.

Would any BIG company use IDN as they main website? No. Prove me wrong when you have at least 500 companies from 100 million country doing that.

There is a reason people are not mad buying IDNs. Some people did risk it. Some people even told me before it was not their money they spend on it. Some people told me it goes off or they are ****ed up. Time will show. I am definitely not wishing bad luck for people that invest in it. But stop your "you will regret it, when it's there" thing.

We(idn non-investors) simply don't care. Stop making sensational headlines when you sell your very best IDN to some DUMB investor, who just want to risk it. There is plenty of bad decisions in BUSINESS overall. Not just in internet. Such sales can happen.

I am not screaming here every my xx,xxx or xxx,xxx sale. Do same. When you will be selling hundreds of IDNs per day. x,xxx and up. Not only between few IDN investors. When businesses will grow up on IDNs. When it will actually mean something for regular user.

    Then we can talk.

And no I am just not investing in them myself, and what I said here is my opinion. I know you have yours. I don't even care what time will tell. Good luck to all of you investing in it or not.

Uneducated and kids? I don't think so.
    Thats complete Bull____!

Although, if it were only kids thats not bad, as they are heavy internet users, and they do become adults.

The Russian .РФ has exceeded 800,000 registrations, in 5 months. (so Far)
Even better than that .co you were probably drooling all over, and than selling off 2 months later.

    Heres some .РФ listings:

Oh look the president of Russia has a site right at the top.
Who's ever going to use those stupid things?

As far as making sensational headlines, I already said in an earlier post $10,000...no big deal, I've had bigger offers for other IDN names.
Its called reporting the news...even if its the news you don't really want to hear.

Some other members here might be interested to know whats going on, as far as IDNs are concerned.

Personally I have just a few IDNs, I am moderately skeptical. I know IDN is there to fullfil a need (acessibility), but I'm not sure it is the right solution. But I have a few names that get a bit of traffic (mostly from google searches). So they might be junk but they can't be totally worthless.

OP got really lucky, that doesn't even read as Casino, it reads as Caisino or Kaisino.

I'm guessing the buyer isn't a native Hindi speaker / reader at all.

Pretty much underlines why IDNs are a bad investment vehicle, except for the seller in this case.
