Um, KKR does not do partnerships. Typically it ends up being a forced buyout.

All of that remains to be seen, as you mentioned...time will tell.
Not sure if you saw or are aware of the Silverlake/Skype issue at the moment.
Parsons may soon not have much of a say. Frankly, I think a 2.25B (new pricetag) may be overpriced.
I am, but I also read the TC follow up explaining the situation a bit more in depth:

If this is all true I hope they don't increase domain prices...
So then. GoDaddy Sale, Good News. Bad News that Bob Parson remains as CEO

to be honest, I do not think any of it is good news for domainers in the long run.
Hopefully, I am wrong.
The domain industry has been very anti-domainer for years. Talk about biting the hand that feeds it.
I commented on a post on some blog the otherday that what this industry needs is a Domainer Industry Body with a strict code of conduct if we are to be taken seriously. Only members would be allow to sell domains at auction or park using the many parking programs. Parking Programs themselves would have to have associate membership that would open up their books and analytics to annual audit.
Perhaps even that will be too little too late.
