Surely ENOM should of got them after all the money REGFLY owe them. |

looks like godaddy was working with the registries Quote:
ICANN's understanding is that GoDaddy.com and the gTLD registries holding RegisterFly names have worked out the mechanics for restoring, renewing, and redeeming names intending that no names will be inadvertently dropped. According to the terms of the transfer agreement, RegisterFly domain names and the data underlying the available proxy service will also be transferred. People with domain names registered with RegisterFly can contact GoDaddy.com at 480-366-3500 with any questions about the transfer. GoDaddy.com also has a question and answer sheet available at http://www.godaddy.com/welcomeregisterfly
"ICANN had been actively seeking participants to act as a transfer provider to bulk transfer RegisterFly records to another accredited registrar," Dr Twomey said. "We have ended that process because the GoDaddy.com agreement is a better solution for RegisterFly customers since it's a direct and automatic transfer to a competent and experienced customer service oriented organization." |

Haven't got mine yet but my "rep" told me it'll take a few days and should be a smooth transition...most don't expire til oct. so even if godaddy locks them for 60 days I should be able to transfer out ....almost anywhere is better than being at regfly right now
jim Update:
Just ran a whois on some of regfly names and the registry is showing godaddy as the registrar........ not in my account yet but hopefully soon

If someone drops a domain because they no longer care about it, fine, but someone who is trying to save the domain for months, and then see another person with it... not good... |

There have been numerous cases of domains that people have been trying to transfer out of Registerfly, that have been unsuccessful. In fact, there was one domain that was trademarked and the owner couldn't transfer it out. This particular domain had HEAPS of traffic, and people had already backordered it. The owner was blogging about it as he had lost a lot of income due to the demise of Registerfly. In this instance, the domain is rightfully theirs.
What I was commenting on was the fact that people have an extra 30 days to renew them. The only reason I know this is because I was on the phone to the support and techo's at Godaddy because I saw a lot of strange changes happening and queried them.
Godaddy must be happy with all the new registrations! |

DNF$: 122 | Re: google GoDaddy picks up domains of struggling competitor - ITworld.com Anyone know how far back does this 30 day grace period go? -- for example what about names that were/are expired in say Jan, Feb and March and listed in Whois owned by Registerfly but expired? Anyone know how these are to be handled? We all know the records that are transferred have a horse's *** (my grandma always said that) chance of being accurate.
When they say "pendingdelete", is anyone clear of what dateline they are looking at and how far back the expire date can be to be included in the grace period?
Thanks |

Country: | Re: google GoDaddy picks up domains of struggling competitor - ITworld.com I did a "retrieve my password. " submission to godaddy and was able to access my old regfly domains...
What I found is the .com,.net and .org are all active and the .info,.biz are showing "Pending RegisterFly Transfer" with "this domain will be available to manage on 6/5/2007"....
The trick to access these domains is to do a "retrieve my password" on a active tld ...com,.net and .org ..if you try a .info,.biz you'll get a invaild response

I've been at GD since almost the beginning. Was getting pretty disgusted over the last year or two, but have noticed that in the past few months things are actually improving there. Was pulling my domains, but decided to stick with him. Hopefully the improvements will continue.

I now have with 4 godaddy accounts though and their 60 day rule will keep me from consolidating...but they're all there and accessable...haven't tried to transfer any out yet though
