Old old news...and the guy that wrote it up calls himself an seo expert...i karumba...
Read down towards the bottom of his article ... he explains that owning multiple domains isn't bad per se, but one should use 301 Redirects instead of aliasing ... in this regard, he's right - redirecting is the correct way, and can even help ranking of the primary site.
