Hopefully their customer service improves.. i have a domain there i cant get out because i purchased the domain from ireit and i dont know the secret pass etc

I dealt with them on Thursday and Friday this week no problem. Got them by phone, then quick exchange of email. Maybe best to call then hook up direct with someone there to help you. You create your own secret password in some systems (theirs included I think), whereas some other registrars assign a transfer code for each transaction.

Regarding IYD.com -

It's been my registrar of choice for about 7 years and I've been very happy with them. No problems to speak of and never had an issue moving domains in or out. And they were more than happy to negotiate rates with owners with large portfolios. Hopefully things will just get better with Tucows.

now that tucows took over, all my domains are LOST.
heres there responce:
Bill, Our support department is getting a lot of these requests right now and unfortunately, all they can say is to talk to MyDiscountDomains. We don't have control of the domains here. If you can get them to take a look, they'll contact us if there's a deeper problem. Sorry I can't be of more help. Whats your point?? They resell for Tucows but discountdomains gives you the support... You aren't a direct customer of Tucows.... MyDiscountDomains is...

Tucows is dead in the waters... I wouldn't use them even if they offered me 2 cows.

I see nothing wrong with tucows and as a release registrar, they are still hanging strong. They should cater more to the enduser though, but their reseller application is great.

I am really impressed with tucows , my domain manger says I dont have domains in there to manage,well over 200
this is a Nightmare....
You currently have no domains to manage.

Man am I going through some nightmares with Hover...
Thier service isn't worth two farts!

They have no contact information for support. They make you use an online forum
and you have to verify your email address before you can use it. Which is fine but
their system isn't even sending me the verification emails. I have tried 4 differen't
email addresses and nothing... my host has verified that no emails from them have
tried to reach my mail server. So I can't even get any support from them whatsoever.

I can't update any of my registry info because it keeps giving me "some fields are invalid" errors... no matter what I get that stupid message. So I can't even administer any of my domains.

I can't transfer any of my domains because again, their system is not sending my any verification emails so I am not getting the transfer verification emails from them.

This is insane!

My domains have pretty much been hijacked and held hostage.

I don't know what they were thinking with this "Hover" crap. I'm not interested in anything being trendy or cool-looking. The IYD worked fine so why change it? I'm just hoping I can transfer my names out of there without losing them. What a mess.
