Country: | Re: How about some Real News for a change? it seems logical that DNAME is the only solution that can get IDN's running any time soon. Setting up separate gtld's for all the languages would push IDN's back another decade IMHO. I doubt China would wait that long. |

yes....but European TLD was delayed because it was not even a united country yet plus lots of burocracy.
I told you, I hope you`re right, otherwise it will be just a big mess for many people. |

I told you, I hope you`re right, otherwise it will be just a big mess for many people. | Well, if it took that long for the Europeans to sort out, how long do you think it is going to take to agree a Pan Arab version of dot Com (and don't forget Farsi and Urdu use the same alphabets), or indeed how long it would take to agree the ground rules for Bangla or Urdu Versions, taking into consideration the widespread use of each in India. Even Hebrew could be very problematic? Also Russian is not only spoken in Russia, the script is used through much of Eastern Europe and the language is still prevalent in central Asia.
