The Onion exposed a cunning plot to boost IDN popularity:
Condoleezza Rice has been secretly conspiring with DNF'er Rubber Duck, aka Sir Duckay, and the Rubba Dubdub Foreign Minister. So far, the State Department has refused to comment on the affair, but it will become obvious when the appointment of Rubber Duck as Lord High Axegrinder of the Royal Rubba Dubdub Registry will be announced at the upcoming joint press conference where Condi will voice her support for .rd IDN domains in an effort to strengthen international cultural exchanges.
