iGen.com Sells for 100k on Namejet

iGen is a term used in marketing for the internet generation. I'm impressed with the purchase price and a great win for the winner.

The name is great, but how do you know it is a winner? In my experience, the price was overpaid. Unless the business has some real plans to recoup $100k soon, where do you think the returns will come from?

PPC? After market sale of the domain name again?

    I think not.

Was it a pre-release? If so, hold onto your seat for the next 45 days. The previous owner can still claim it, especially if they find out what happened.

Yeah but if you're spending that much I would not want to lose by $100.00. Too close, huh...

----- Perhaps that explains why they overpaid. Sometime, a company just got to have the brand name for their business. In contrast, Face Book acquired facebook.com for just $200,000 - A Steal.

iVeg.com is a great name though. I can only wonder when, where and for how much it will go for!

I wish for you the best.

Facebook.com was operating as thefacebook.com before they acquired the current name for $200k from some company, which I forget. Will have to dig to find the link. It was a private sale....
