Information On the New Owners

Just got this email from the new owners:

Hi,

I would like to take a few minutes of your time to discuss the changes,
which have gone on at dnforum.com over the past week and to formally
introduce myself and our team.

My name is Adam (handle DotComGod); I have purchased dnforum.com from
Greg.

I have brought in nhlrat (Chuck) to work with the great mods that were
already in place such as:

Namepopper
Bob
Whois-Search
GiantDomains

The roles of people involved explained:

Nhlrat, along with the current mods, will run day-to-day functions of
the site, so please feel free to address any and all questions and
concerns you have with them.

Chuck (Nhlrat) is quite knowledgeable on the software, VBulletin, that
runs the dnforum.com site. Over the past two years, he
has built many sites, with the largest having a user base of 80,000
members and still growing.

I myself will be here regularly but will not play an active role in the
management of the site.
I run many other sites and have a large staff to deal with on a daily
basis.

I am, however, around should you having any questions you care to ask
me.

The future of the site:

I feel that this is a great site and I, nhlrat and all the mods here
will do our best over to ensure it continues to grow and prosper. We
understand that there has been some frustration with the lack of auction
for a second week and are confident that this coming Sunday’s will go as
scheduled.

I have no intention with this or any site we operate in selling. This
site will be here for the long run so get comfortable and let’s have
fun.

The team looks forward to any and all suggestions you may have for
making this a better site. We are not limited in resources and will spend
money to get any features you recommend that can have added value for
everyone.

up some great domains from some of you even before I knew this place
existed.

Sorry, I didn't mean to preempt any formal announcement. I just thought some people might find the information helpful because many seem to be unaware of what's going on.

I've seen most of this information in bits and pieces around the forum over the past week so its not really news to me.

I'm certainly not trying to contribute to any growing angst here.

I apologize if this upsetted anyone.

If all emails have been sent out you might wish to know that not all members have received them.
This may be associated with the problem of email notification of PM's and Thread Postings, which are still not working at least for some.

Got the email ... THANKS a lot!! Here's to better times ahead ... and please post in the "Platinum Member Profiles" area, as well, for those that have problems with e-mail from the site.
Finally, can you be more specific on ... "coming Sunday’s will go as
scheduled." Are the DNS problems corrected?? Will there be tests of the system later this week to ensure 100% functionality? Will the scheduled day being Easter Sunday have a pronounced affect on attendance/potential Buyers? Is CoolHost a F'ing crazy pain in the arse m*ther F*cker?!?

DNS issues have been fixed as of 7am this morning. We can do a Friday or Saturday night auction this week instead if users thought that it would help?

This is a test to see if I'm now able to reply to threads. With the changes, I was locked out there for a while. Also, I did not receive the email. Might have something to do with AOL which I prefer to use. I started with them when they first came out and hate change. I do like some of the new things here though.

I'm subscribed to receive the newsletter as HTML. Could it be that it was sent out only to those who had specified TEXT as their format??
