This is staggering!
• 44% of small businesses do not have a website
especially when you couple that stat with this statement:

Personally, I would have never imagined 44% of small businesses have no website. That is extremely high.
That's 19.8 million business out there just waiting for someone to take them online.
Adam, can you please cite the source of the statistics?
[QUOTE=mark;1840848]
Right, but the secret is how do you find end-users?
The reason I rarely try to sell a name at forums is I hate the thought of selling a valuable asset to domainers at dirt cheap prices, a name which gets regular free typein and other traffic and could easily sell products too and make lots of money.
That's great statistics which we can use when we approach local businesses.
So, I would like to know the source of statistics, too.
With reputable source, we can approach local businesses with it.
We all know Adam is reputable, but, I doubt local business owners know Adam![]()
Also would like to know the stats

The sad thing is that a lot of small businesses will not see the benefit of online marketing / websites. They'd rather spend $100,000 on a magazine ad as opposed to $2,500-$5,000 on a domain (the hardest part to get them to understand) and maybe $10,000 for a good site. After that it is just reg fees and maintenance.

Great statistics..Thanks Adam.
I was just at a conference and one of the lead speakers was addressing everyone about your internet presence. The first thing he asked was who owned a domain name and then he asked who owned there name/business names domain... You could see a lot of people wishing they had and you knew those who did. We have to realize a big % of society still doesn't get the importance of what everyone here already does and that simply is the Domain Space (they will eventually!).
Terrific info....
...The opportunities are even greater than I'd already imagined...![]()
