although the 2 words jobs and online are very good matching keywords, I am not so sure if 12k is worth to invest on .info

Wow, it seems like the domain market is booming, a reasonable 2 keyword .info.

WHY would this Suspicious sale?

The way I see it, this keyword string gets a decent amount of type-in searches, There's 93 PPC ads for "Jobs Online". If you know how to monetize the site properly or provide a service that requires recurring membership fee backed by a VC with money to throw at adverting, this little old Dot info that most of you frown upon is going to make someone rich.

It would be my guess someone has plans for this.

Very nice sale!

I registered last year domains:

ActualJob.info
ApplyForJob.info
JobApplicants.info

Hope I'll be able to sell them too.

After thinking about it, I agree, I would say $500, or even $1200, but no way $12,000. Maybe someone's interested interested in jacking up the .info market.

Noone can exactly appraise domain name, only the end user's wish to pay the sum that he wants to pay

Domain Price = End User's Payment Ability

But if those end users are well informed and well eduated about domains, they might not buy them at those unbelievable high prices.

I wouldn't have paid more then 1k for that if I was an end user. Many names just as good in .info that I could have got for less then 1k.

If that name really sold for 12k cash it was only luck and the chance of it happening is a like a lottery win.

I have JobsReal.com (301,000 searches in July on google AND, 32,500,000 MSN Frequency ) MUCH MUCH better than that in my opinion and i would have loved to sell my .com at this price

High price.

I doubt it gets any traffic (unless previously developed - can't be bothered checking...) so the buyer will need to throw branding money at it, so why not brand a hand regged .com?

1st Why would one pay that amount for an info.

A combination of keywords may have 100000's of search results on Google but it doesn't mean they all the traffic lands on that very domain.

Monitization an all is a different story either you need typin traffic here, which i am sure is not enough to justify the projected sale price.

I have job/jobs onmobile[dot]com & had couple of offer on them but they were all in mid $xxxx, with one of the offer been from a famous job portal, so instead of being a .com if it fetches that less I logically can't expect an end buyer to pay that big amount for a .info

I did no research at all. However, the sale for 12k CASH with no other consideration involved sounds bogus to me (Ron, I am not saying it is bogus and I know DNJ data is extremely accurate most all the time but it just seems like it could be bogus).

Nice price! It is normal that people pay whatever to get what they want, and not listen to people who are not interested or have not the money. There is no such thing as overpricing. Let people pay what they want to pay, and let us make as much profit as we can. It is honest: Buyer is happy - Seller is happy. What's the point? Appraisers are killing the domain market for the traders.
