Does that mean the end of the free service?

    Nope!

No! LocalWhois will continue to be free! DomainsBot will offer more lists and more services, but will require a $8.95 minimum fee to join.

    Best Regards

    !Domainsbot,

Could you please explain a little bit more regarding your new feature called 'Unexpected Drops'. When are these domains supposed to drop (what time or days) and by whom?

    Thanks

does localwhois still steal lists from other people?

    Nope!

No... LW pays a license to Exody to use their listings.

Domainsbot, we've been over this before with localwhois themselves when it was made clear localwhois had been stealing and had been using exody data without paying a penny - in fact as recently as 26th July 2002 not a single cent had been received by exody for the lists that localwhois stole.

LW pays Exody a license. I guess that the reason because Dwayne didn't receive the check is that he was on holiday during that period. I'm sure he already got it as of today.

I have a dictionary myself GOH. Thanks for the help anyway

Also it seems like LocalWhois messed up once, but everyone is entitled to make mistakes. As long as you learn from them and compensate any parties that might have taken harm from it. Just my opinon.

    Thanks!!

I guess that crime does pay! Unless you finally get exposed for stealing others intellectual property all the while claiming that your "engineers" are responsible for your prowess ...

    Very sad ...

I would like to know too.
I thought only the expiry causes a domain dropped.
