Crazy money imho.......
yeah, schilling sold it
com, yes,
quality cctld, yes , as indicidual countries obviously operate the biggest ones. germany, uk , spainetc. there is a euro biggie
of course huge state ones in the US
where does .net fit in??
hugely overpaid imho
just think what it 'could have' bought!
and a uk company bought lol
check out their domains and ideas of branding LOL!
I am sure Schilling made plenty of money in ppc as well. Not sure how long he
owned it but I guess this was the right time for him to sell as I am sure the
type in traffic and clicks made some money but it was def not even close to the sale price.

Frank Schilling always goes in high... I think he's happy keeping hold of his names, earning thousands from ppc, unless someone gives him a very good offer. So this price is no surprise in my opinion.
We're on the InterNET ...not the InterCOM ! --![]()
----------------------------------------
Frank S. & Co has many other high quality .NETs in the "big portfolio"
------------
.NET has momentum and it's is on an incremental basis.... Ron Jackson (DNJournal) who arguably keeps/reports the best stats on domain sales also corroborates this.

According to sedo:
QUOTE:
"The average price for .com sales dropped $759 from
Q1-2009, falling from $2,527 to $1,768. In an unusual anomaly, the .nets, at $1,775, wound up with a higher average sales price than the .coms. That is up from a $1,307 average in 1Q-2009 and .nets' share of all sales at sedo also rose from 7% to 11% in the latest quarter."\
_______________
Also, there have been more & more .NETs listed and sold in the live and online domain show auctions by the top domain "auction houses" (ie: Moniker, SEDO, Latona, SnapNames) over the past 18 to 24 months
The broadest and deepest company in the domain space uses a .NET in it's parent company name & Web address ---> Oversee.Net
.COMs are certainly still the gold standard....but .NETs are nothing to shake a stick at !
It's like that.
Viva .NET !

Nice sale, gambling domains are always in high demand
Visit my blog
I think this is a fair end user price for this domain. Gaming traffic is very valuable. Poker.org went for a mil and the owners were savvy gambling webmasters.
Great .NET sale!
Domainster.....Exactly..... .NET is nothing to shake a stick at
In my opinion, some keyword domains visually look better, and relate better to the internet, especially so when the keyword domain is "internet related" such as Hosting, browsing, etc.

Have European traffic to monetize? Try being a poker affiliate! http://bit.ly/AyPJGw
I think also it's a fair price.
There is always a high demand is this industrie.
If the U.K company which bought it flips the domain after some time with development on it. It sure would earn them multi-folds.
Fair end user price. Hope the company which bought the domain makes the right use of it. Rather than sitting on it for few years on a parked page.
Crazy...
