Here's what baffles me... why would a domainer invest in any domain company I'm not asking this sarcastically but doesn't it pretty much negates the bottom line? You'd pretty much be investing in a competitor and that is absolutely absurd.

While I don't play the market I can see no reason not to invest if you feel a profit is to be made. Each domain is unique and the one someone 'lusts' after may be yours or Tucows but it doesn't belong to both of you. It could simply be argued that you are expanding your inventory much as domainers who group buy an excellent name that none can individually afford.

i thought i knew something about the market marchex is engaged in. so when they announce site partnerships and other strategic deals, i feel like i might know something that the general public does not. so far i am wrong though
