I dont think so but I get your thinking and I agree that it would be a smart pick up for them if the price and opportunity presented itself.

Do you think we should buy at IPO price? Do we have to wait and see how it is going to perform? The competitor marchex went to $7.50 52-week low from $20s and bounced back to $12 recently. Any market traders' opinion on this one please since I am seriously thinking to put load of money in this one.

I'm going to wait a bit... and watch...

I'm not into stocks, really, but if I were to get in, I would definitely buy some Name Media shares.
As domainers, we all know the value of domain names. Many here are full time domainers who've quit their jobs because they felt that domain names will continue to be fruitful for the next 25 years. We all also know that Name Media has some of the best names in the business. So it makes sense to invest in its shares...if domains will continue to be even more valuable with time, won't the company holding the best names be so too?

I am sold on the future value of domains, but the question with NameMedia isn't just the quality of domains they own. How good is the business model they have in place for monetizing those domains? They have some high priced exec, will they earn their money of just end up a drain on resouces? With the IPO they should be flush with cash, what's the plan for that money?

Domaining is a good market, NameMedia is in a good position, but that doesn't automatically mean their stock is a good gamble.
